Relief Efforts Alta Talamanca
The rains are over, the Caribbean Coast is ready for visitors, but the folks in the Talamanca Mountains will be working on recovery for a long time. Some of us from ATEC, ReciCaribe, and APPTA headed up to the small community of Bambú yesterday (29 Nov) to distribute generous donations given by the folks Puerto Viejo and Cahuita.

Just like anyone’s private property, you need to ask before wondering around. To enter any Indigenous Reserve you must go with a local guide authorized by the Indigenous Association. Ask at ATEC office in Puerto Viejo.
