Spent today communicating with two new student groups for next year; one studying Spanish and a second language and the other a service learning group.
Worked on making our reservation forms for hotels and agencies more fluid. Contact us if your business wants to join the team and make reservations for awesome authentic activities through ATEC (we can even pay a commission now!).
Biked over to Punta Uva to see all the hub-bub with the demolition of Hotel Las Palmas. Neighbors are worried that once they take down this hotel, other businesses will be in danger of demolition. I spoke with the cops, they said that no other businesses in the Wildlife Refuge are slated to be torn down. The destruction of Las Palmas has been in the court system since 1993 and is due to many environmental violations. (Well Hotel Suerre, yes, they are in danger, they are right next door, had begun as the same property, but they split off, they got a “stay” on their demolition today).
Puerto Viejo Satellite wrote a great article on the issue.
